Coloured flavoured white asparagus
1. Peel your white asparagus, this is a must (cut ends and save)
2. Stand up in asparagus pot or you can put into large pot
3. Boiling water together with flavour (white asparagus will take on any flavour so sweet or savoury your choice.
Example for savoury: white asparagus in beetroot juice, lemon juice, mint.
Example for sweet: white asparagus in raspberry juice, pineapple juice, spearmint juice.
4.Cook till tender
5. Lay out on paper towel
6. If you want more colour, brush with food colouring
7. Serve with sauces along with white asparagus -- with little salt or sugar (hollandaise for savoury or sweet cream for sweet)
